Along with the massive growth of the economy in Cambodia, particularly in Phnom Penh, numerous big name brands have slowly been opening shop. One of these is Krispy Kreme Cambodia. While another popular donut brand, Big Apple Donuts, opened previously, many have been requesting that Krispy Kreme also open in Cambodia.
Well, it seems that many wishes have been granted.
Birth of Krispy Kreme Cambodia
It was a big affair today as the much awaited branch opened along Pasteur 51, close to shops such as Costa, Brown, KFC, Burger King, and more. Prior to opening its branch, Krispy Kreme Cambodia held several promotions and taste tests with freebies for those who wanted to give the famed donuts a try.
The turnout was great, and aside from the basic opening routine, the event held other games, offers, and other interesting things. The shop also displayed a wide array of donuts to sample from on the very first day.
A familiar taste
One of the daunting things about traveling to other countries is that most tourists are not so sure what to eat. Some travelers are also wary about the new tastes that they often encounter in cuisine that is deemed different from what they are used to. With the opening of Krispy Kreme, tourists are now offered options to choose from. This is particularly comforting for those who are not so daring to try the local delicacies.
On the other hand, locals get a taste of something other than the brands that they are used to. This is definitely a step forward.
The newly opened Krispy Kreme Cambodia is located at 217c, street 51, corner 302, BKK1, Phnom Penh. More information can be seen at their Facebook page.
Be sure to book your bus tickets in advance so that you have time to drop by the Krispy Kreme store and get some donuts for your trip!
